La Gran Maria Waterfront Villa, Blowing Point

The layout separates the formal from the casual: a Great Room, a family room and a dining room, with a fully equipped kitchen and its own breakfast area. Beyond the main living spaces, the house holds a fitness gym, a theatre room, and a games room fitted with a pool table and table tennis. There is a laundry room and a wine cooler on site. Air conditioning and ceiling fans run throughout, alongside high-speed internet, and a 75 KVA backup generator with an automatic switch covers the whole property.

The pool terrace covers 2,000 square feet and centres on a 20 by 50 foot pool, with two heated jacuzzis, each ten feet round. Two outdoor wet bars serve the terrace, one of them sunken for use from the water. The outdoor kitchen is equipped with two BBQ grills, a pizza oven and a stove. At the water's edge, a gazebo and deck form the Capt. Joe Lounge, with the Sunset Lounge alongside it. Hammocks are set around the grounds, and two outdoor showers serve the pool area.

Six bedrooms, each with a king bed, sleeping twelve guests in total. The villa has seven and a half bathrooms, two of them fitted with jacuzzis. Groups of eight or fewer can take the house in a reduced four-bedroom configuration, at a lower rate than the full villa.

Blowing Point sits on Anguilla's south coast and is the island's main link to St Martin, which makes it a practical base for anyone arriving or leaving by sea. The area is residential rather than resort-led, so it stays quieter than the west-coast beaches. La Gran Maria is set behind a carriage driveway and an automatic gate, with its own frontage at the water's edge.
